Snowpocalypse 2011
Well, it’s all over. The Snowpocalypse of 2011 left as quickly as it came in.
As best as I can figure, 19″ of snow fell but it’s hard to tell with all the drifts. The one thing that separated this snow event from other wannabe snow events was the wind. My weather bug recorded a 56mph gust and that was only around 9pm or so. We also got a little light show! Not often you get a thunderstorm in February but there it was. Pretty cool.
The pictures in the gallery are from about 2pm Tuesday to 2pm Wednesday. I wasn’t going to try getting out of my parking lot until they plowed it today so I took a walk to see what was going around in the neighborhood. That was about it for today. Lazy day to say the least.
Now comes the cold. Double digit wind chills are expected tonight and a high of 9f tomorrow. A fire place would be nice right about now.
