Golden Hour

A friend and I took a walk the other evening and brought our cameras with. Golden Hour was in full swing by the time we got here and we found a spot that yielded some nice landscapes. This was one of my favorites.

I was focused on this plant and decided to shoot into the setting sun. My friend was about 10 feet away shooting another plant with the sun at her back. My decision to shoot into the sun was an easy one. Unlike Sue, I didn’t bring a macro lens with me and I thought this scene may or may not be interesting. She had the right idea and even though I haven’t seen her pictures yet, the golden light had to make things look great. Now if I could only remember to pack my macro lens for the next walk!
